Influenza and SARS in children with allergies. How to help the child?

Do you know the situation when a child is like a few days in a kindergarten, and then for 2-3 weeks he is ill at home? Everything is even worse if the baby suffers from allergies, as any cold turns into a parental nightmare. How to help an allergic child recover faster?
Influenza and SARS in children with allergies. How to help the child?

In the cold season, the number of cases of ARVI increases significantly. This is due to the fact that the child spends most of the time in the summer outside, and with the onset of rain and cold, he is increasingly in a room where viruses are easier to spread. During the heating season, a lot of viruses “fly” in the dry air in the kindergarten: from banal respiratory syncytial to severe strains of influenza. This fall, winter and spring, an increased activity of three strains of influenza is observed:

A / California / 7/2009 (H1N1) virus species – swine flu;
types of virus B / Brisbane / 60/2008;
types of influenza virus A / Hong Kong / 4801/2014 (H3N2).
In this situation, you need to know exactly how to protect the baby from the disease and how to help him, if he still “grabbed” the virus. This information is especially useful for parents whose children are prone to allergies. After all, the child is allergic (atopic) and is sick much more often, and suffers even a mild cold more severely than usual.

Features of SARS and influenza in children with allergies (atopic)
Now you can find such a thing as the syndrome of “often ill child.” The fact that the child is sick really often, you can say:

if a child aged 3 to 4 years old is sick more often 6 times a year;
if a child aged 4 to 5 years old is sick more often 5 times a year;
if a child is older than 5 years more often 4 times a year.
In fact, any respiratory infection in children with chronic diseases and functional disorders occurs more often, is more difficult and more likely to lead to undesirable complications. Why it happens?

The fact is that the relationship of allergy and the virus forms a vicious circle. Allergy significantly increases the child’s susceptibility to viruses, and also increases the risk of complications. In turn, the virus contributes to the occurrence of the atopic process, thereby exacerbating the underlying disease – the flu or the common cold. Allergic reactions to the decomposition products of microorganisms and the medications used are most often added to this. As a result, a vicious dependence is formed, when one disease provokes and strengthens another.

The situation does not improve the fact that the flu or ORVI can provoke a negative reaction of the body to the seemingly familiar to the child products or environmental factors. That is why it is vital for children with allergies to initially find the right treatment.

How to help and not harm a child with allergies?
Unfortunately, there are few antiviral drugs that are suitable for allergic children. These drugs are subject to increased requirements: in addition to helping to combat influenza and ARVI, the low probability of side effects and permission to use in childhood, these drugs must have another important quality – to be hypoallergenic, i.e. Do not provoke allergic reactions. Tsitovir-3 powder * is one of the few antiviral drugs on the Russian market that has been specially designed to meet the characteristics of this group of babies.

The main advantage of the powder form of the Tsitovir-3 drug is the absence of sugar. It contains only non-allergic fructose. Also in the composition of the drug there are no artificial additives, dyes and preservatives. All this makes it possible to use it for children with restrictions in the consumption of sugar and with increased allergic reactions.

In the assortment of “Tsitovira-3” there are powders with different flavors: cranberry, strawberry and orange. But for children prone to allergies, it is better to choose a neutral powder, without flavoring. According to the instructions, before use, the drug must be dissolved in boiled water. It turns out a light, slightly sweet drink, which children like very much. This facilitates the medication for babies from 1 to 3 years old, who often develop an emetic reflex when taking pills, capsules or syrups.

In addition to high safety and hypoallergenicity, important advantages of Tsitovir-3 powder are a short course of treatment (4 days) and compatibility with all symptomatic agents, and even antibiotics. Timely and rational use of this drug can break the vicious cycle of allergies and SARS, as it provides faster recovery, prevents the development of complications and exacerbation of allergies.
