What is NLP?
Neuro-Linguistic Programming or NLP is a revolutionary approach to psychotherapy and behavioral change. It is based on the relationship between behavior patterns and patterns of thought. NLP is a system of alternative therapy which hopes to educate people in self-awareness and effective communication, and to change mental and emotional behavior patterns.
NLP is a major part of the future of healing in a world which is becoming more enlightened about non drug-based therapies. Though I do not dispute the value of traditional medicine in many cases, I fully embrace a model of health care which emphasizes the power of the individual’s mind in healing and general well-being.
You will find medical doctors, chiropractors, dentists, acupuncturists, etc. incorporate NLP techniques in their practices.
I believe that NLP results in the promotion of knowledge about the individual’s immense mental power. I further feel that these actions will lead open-minded people to a more enlightened approach to taking full control of their everyday lives.
What happens in an NLP session?
A session starts with you stating what changes you want and what problems you want to overcome.
I will guide you in discovering more choice in the way you think. Using very simple and effective NLP techniques, I can help you to make the changes you want.
Homework may be given to help adjust to the changes made during your session. The main integration of the newly defined neurological patterns will have taken place during the session and may continue so over time.
On subsequent sessions you provide feed back about the changes and improvements you’ve noticed. We either continue work on the pattern already addressed, or when you are ready, move on to the next change you want to make.
This is not therapy as these sessions emphasis finding solutions rather than analyzing causes – and in NLP we always add choices, rather than take anything away.
There is little to no physical touch involved in an NLP so it can be accomplished either in person, Skype, or phone.
The cost of either in-person or distance sessions are $100 per hour.
To book a session please call during office hours, 9am to 5pm, Monday – Friday, or send an email by clicking here.
